Crystal Ball is a portrait of feminine power claimed on its own terms. A woman in a dark kimono holds a golden orb — not offered to anyone, not displayed for approval, simply held. Hers. She looks directly out of the frame with the steady gaze of someone who has always known things, who grew up surrounded by the sacred in many forms and chose to carry all of it forward.

The work draws on twenty-five years of artistic practice and a deep, sustained fascination with depictions of feminine strength in the spiritual and mystical — goddesses, seers, women who were told the universe was not theirs to touch and touched it anyway.

This is a limited edition of 25. Each print is individually produced, hand-signed and numbered by the artist, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. When the edition is complete, it will not be reprinted.

Catherine Gomersall is an artist and designer with twenty-five years of practice and a PhD. Her work draws on a lifelong fascination with feminine power in the spiritual and mystical, and a deep personal relationship with the many forms the sacred takes across cultures and belief systems.
