About these terms
These terms cover the Quartz Ripple website and Story Forge, operated by Catherine Gomersall, trading as Quartz Ripple, based in Melbourne, Australia.

When purchasing Story Forge, please review these terms and the offer details presented before checkout.
Commissioned projects are also governed by an agreed written proposal setting out the scope, fees, timetable and usage rights. Project-specific terms apply to that project, subject to rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Story Forge
Story Forge is a DIY creative planning tool for business founders. It helps explore storytelling language, visual motifs, colour palettes, art direction and product concepts. Where available, revenue scenarios, market suggestions and distribution ideas are planning aids.
The standard price is A$27 as a one-time payment, providing:
One year of access from the date of purchase.
Use for your own business.
A downloadable PDF creative brief.
The total payable, including any applicable taxes, is displayed before payment. Your purchase does not automatically renew or create a recurring subscription.
Any project, generation or other usage limits must be disclosed in the offer before purchase. These terms do not promise unlimited use.
Purchasing Story Forge does not include commissioned illustrations, product manufacture, printing, fulfilment or personal consulting. Commissioning Quartz Ripple is optional.
For access problems or support enquiries, contact catherine@quartzripple.com.
Business and client licences
The standard Story Forge licence covers use for your own business only.
Using Story Forge to provide services, briefs or other work for clients requires a separate licence. Contact catherine@quartzripple.com to agree on the scope and price before using the tool for client work.
You may share your own business’s downloaded brief with collaborators or suppliers working on that business. This does not permit them to use your account for other businesses or client projects.
You must not resell access to Story Forge or share your login credentials with unauthorised users.
Your account and use
Where an account is required, provide accurate details and keep your login credentials secure.
Use the service lawfully and only submit material you are authorised to use. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the service, misuse other users’ information or bypass disclosed usage limits.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, a security issue or a legal requirement. Where practicable, we will explain the issue and provide an opportunity to resolve it.
Any action affecting a paid service remains subject to your applicable consumer rights.
AI-assisted outputs and estimates
AI-generated suggestions may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or similar to outputs provided to others. Review outputs before using them commercially.
Revenue calculations depend on the inputs and assumptions used. Market and distribution-partner suggestions require independent checking. We do not guarantee sales, market demand, partner acceptance or exclusivity of AI-generated ideas.
Story Forge provides creative planning assistance rather than individual financial, legal or investment advice. You remain responsible for decisions about your business.
These statements do not remove our obligation to provide the service as represented or any rights under applicable law.
Your material and intellectual property
You retain any rights you already hold in material you submit.
You give us permission to process that material as needed to deliver the requested service, including through relevant service providers as explained in our Privacy Policy.
You may use Story Forge outputs to plan and develop products for your own business, subject to third-party rights and any applicable provider conditions disclosed before purchase.
Expiry of app access does not, by itself, prevent you from continuing to use a PDF brief downloaded during your licensed access period for your own business.
AI-generated material is not necessarily unique or capable of exclusive copyright protection. Purchasing access does not transfer ownership of the app, its code, branding, templates or other underlying Quartz Ripple materials.
Rights to commissioned artwork, reproduction quantities, formats, territories and any exclusivity are agreed in the project proposal. Payment alone does not transfer copyright unless an agreed written arrangement provides for that transfer.
Source files and working files are included only where expressly agreed. Website artwork and product mockups must not be copied or used as your own product artwork without permission.
Commissioned work
Your written proposal will specify the illustration count, included design work, review stages, revision allowance, fees, payment milestones and deliverables.
Changes outside the agreed scope require an agreed adjustment to price or timing before additional work proceeds.
You are responsible for supplying accurate text and authorised materials, and for reviewing proofs. We will address errors in our work in accordance with the agreement and applicable law.
Printing, physical finishes, freight and fulfilment are separate unless expressly included. Supplier specifications and production arrangements must be agreed before print files are finalised.
If a project is cancelled, amounts payable will be assessed under the project agreement, taking account of work properly completed, agreed commitments, reasonable unavoidable third-party costs and applicable consumer rights. We will explain any deductions from prepaid amounts and refund the balance where required.
Payments and pricing
We use Stripe to process payments. Information handling is explained in our Privacy Policy and Stripe’s privacy policy.
Commissioned services shown on the website are available by enquiry. A price guide is indicative unless expressly stated otherwise. Your written project quote confirms the final scope, price and payment schedule.
Refunds and consumer rights
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable laws are not excluded or limited by these terms.
Depending on the problem and applicable law, remedies may include correction, resupply, repair, replacement, cancellation, a refund or compensation.
Contact catherine@quartzripple.com if you cannot access a purchased tool or believe it has not been supplied as described.
Change-of-mind requests
If you change your mind about purchasing Story Forge, contact catherine@quartzripple.com. We consider change-of-mind refund requests individually; an automatic change-of-mind refund is not promised.
This discretionary policy is separate from, and does not restrict, remedies you are entitled to under applicable consumer law.
Availability and changes
Online services may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance or faults. We will take reasonable steps to address issues.
We will not use changes to these terms to retrospectively remove a purchased entitlement. Material changes affecting existing paid access require appropriate notice and any remedy required by law.
If access ends after the agreed one-year period, further access requires a new purchase or another expressly agreed arrangement. There is no automatic renewal charge.
Liability and disputes
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
We do not guarantee a particular commercial outcome from using Story Forge or commissioning a product. Responsibility for loss is determined under applicable law.
Please contact catherine@quartzripple.com so we can try to resolve a concern.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, subject to any mandatory protections and dispute rights available in your location. This does not prevent you exercising rights before a regulator, tribunal or court that has jurisdiction.
