AI Policy

Quartz Ripple uses AI-assisted workflows and has developed AI-powered applications, including Story Forge. AI supports parts of our creative planning and development process.

We describe this use openly so customers understand how our tools, reference imagery and finished illustration work are created.

Handmade illustration work is created by Catherine Gomersall using Procreate. Catherine develops and draws these illustrations, making the artistic decisions about composition, colour, linework and detail.

AI-generated reference imagery and planning material are distinct from handmade illustrations. Some colouring-book pages use the AI-assisted conversion process described below.

We sometimes use AI to convert images into line drawings for colouring books, only when appropriate and when the quality of the finished work is not compromised.

Catherine reviews the results for suitability and quality before they are included in a finished product. These pages are AI-assisted adaptations rather than entirely hand-drawn illustrations.

We can explain whether this process will be used for your project before work is agreed.

Reference images used in the illustration process are created using in-house models trained on original source photography by Catherine Gomersall. These references support visual exploration and the development of handmade artwork.

This describes the source photography used to train or adapt our reference models. It does not make a claim about the complete pre-training datasets of any underlying third-party foundation model.

Story Forge uses AI-assisted functionality to help founders explore creative direction for their businesses. AI may also support idea development, research assistance and other stages of our workflow where appropriate.

AI outputs require review. They may contain errors, omit context or produce suggestions similar to those generated for other users.

Product ideas, market suggestions and estimated revenue are starting points for investigation, rather than guarantees of commercial performance.

Quartz Ripple uses AI to create product mockups displayed on our website and in promotional materials.

These concept images show how Catherine’s artwork could appear on a finished book, colouring book, deck or other product. They are identified as concept mockups rather than photographs of manufactured products.

Story Forge screenshots show the actual application and are distinct from generated promotional imagery.

The use of in-house reference models does not mean that all app processing happens on systems owned by Quartz Ripple. Our Privacy Policy explains how customer information may be handled, including processing by third-party technology providers.

Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information or material you are not authorised to use.

Project-specific requirements concerning AI use or confidential material can be discussed and recorded in the written project agreement before work begins.
